How it Works
Venyu's virtual server recovery solution starts with automated remote backup to our world-class datacenter. By simply installing an online data backup agent, information is secured offsite, out of harm’s way. Following a recovery strategy discussion, we will determine to what degree our professional services will be needed. For most, our virtualization engineers will acquire an image of selected servers and provision virtual server reservations with the corresponding operating system and a second copy of your application license.
Or, for those that have virtual server experience, simple provisioning is arranged where access is given for "self service" installation. Building a virtual server and establishing an image is now performed by the client with nominal start up costs. Once standby, virtual servers are established, software updates can be applied during your free bi-annual Disaster Recovery testing.
In the event of an unexpected outage or a planned test, remote backup data is recovered to the virtual server target using our high-speed internal network. Recovery times are dependent on data volumes but for 100 GBs, recovery can be accomplished in under an hour with a current image profile.
Once virtual servers are activated, end users can be re-routed using remote server access solutions. End users can work from anywhere an internet connection is available while you restore the primary production environment.
In our 20 plus years of providing managed IT services, we've learned that there really are no in-house solutions for disaster recovery.
